Why I started a blog

There are so many blogs out there teaching us how to perfect the art of “becoming rich”.

“How to get someone to fall for you in ten easy steps.”

“How to become Instagram famous.”

But where are the blogs shining a light on issues that are uncomfortable and challenging that are impacting many lives?

We seem to shy away from hard topics like abandonment, sexual abuse, and physical abuse that can go on in adoptive families.

Let’s shine a light on these problems and create an environment where people feel safe to speak out and talk about the issues they face.

These kinds of conversations are not easy, but life is full of the good, the bad, and the ugly.

So, this leads me back to the title

I started blogging because I wanted to create the change that I wanted to see.

‘The Healing Embrace’ is designed to bring awareness to important matters such as sexual abuse in adoptive homes.

We need to unite together and equip ourselves with tools to create environments that are not harmful to adopted kids.

So, if you read this, and this is the change you want to see.

Pass it on to others so they can do the same.

Let’s see if we can create some change through The Healing Embrace.

Most definitely. Awareness and finding the right actions to take is the only way to keep these things from happening over and over.
